Small New York-based Structural Engineering company is currently looking to open a small office in Romania. We are looking for Structural Engineers that will lead the Romanian office. Suitable candidates should demonstrate creative thinking in resolving structural design challenges, the ability to independently manage projects, and a strong eagerness to learn. Also needed are good communication skills with clients and a team-oriented attitude.
Later this year, we will open an office in Romania. Before that happens, we prefer for our employees to use their own computers and software. The preferred candidate can adjust his/her schedule to accommodate, at least partially, the time difference between Romania and the East Coast of the United States.
- Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering, Master Degree strongly preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in design of residential/industrial buildings
- Proficient working knowledge of AutoCAD 2008 or higher and of structural design software required (Risa Floor/3D, ETABS, SAFE preferred, but others may be considered)
- Proficient in English
- Knowledge of American standards a big plus
